This Education kit includes compilations of writings by M. I. Kalinin ("On Communist Education") and N. K. Krupskaya ("On Education"), as well as "Education to Govern" by the Advocators. The first two books contain the experience and reflections of two great Russian revolutionaries: Krupskaya, who was charge of the education of the Soviet people, and Kalinin, who led the working class through campaigns of mass education as head of state of the Soviet Union. First published in 1971 (with a new introduction by the Redspark Collective), "Education to Govern" gives a blunt assessment of the US educational system and proposes a new path through which each individual is educated in mutual respect, in service to the community and through the expression of his or her creativity in accordance with social needs.
